1. Black Orlov

The name "Black Orlov" is taken from the Russian Princess Nadia Viking Orlov, who once owned the diamond in the mid-18th century. The diamond weighs 67.5 carats (1 carat equals 200 mg, or 0.2 g). In fact, it is not a real black diamond, but a very dark steel gray. According to reports, it once belonged to a shrine in Pondicherry, an east coast city in southern India. The original stone weighed 195 carats, and it has another name called "Vatican Eye Diamond". This gem has been widely exhibited around the world.

2, Gree Gonau spirit

Gree Gonau spirit "Gree 叟 Gona spirit", weighing 312.24 carats, is the world's largest black diamond that has been cut, and is currently the fifth largest cut diamond in the world (January 2012) . It is set in a platinum base with 702 white diamonds on the base for a total weight of 36.69 carats.

Originally weighing 587 carats, this diamond is cut with Mughal Empire diamond cutting technology. From the beginning of the study of cutting design, to the actual cutting of the original stone, the whole process took more than a year.

In the appraisal report of this black diamond by the Gublin Gem Laboratory in Switzerland, the “Geli Gonau Spirit” is described as: a rare specimen of this type of diamond due to its large size.

3. Amsterdam Diamonds

“Amsterdam Diamond” is from South Africa and is reportedly a true black diamond weighing 33.74 carats with 145 turned faces cut from a rough 55.85 carat stone.

The gemstone is cut in pear shape and the main face of the crown is horizontally separated. Its name is to commemorate the 700th anniversary of the Dutch city of Amsterdam.

4. Grouose Diamonds

The Gru Oasi Diamond "Gruosi Diamond" is the world's largest heart-shaped black diamond weighing 115.34 carats. This heart-shaped diamond is the centerpiece of a necklace made up of 58.77 carats of smaller black diamonds, 378 white diamonds and 14.1 carats of dark green garnet in platinum.

It took three years to cut the "Grouox Diamond" and the weight loss was close to 184.78 carats.

5, Brazil black diamonds

The diamond was discovered in Brazil and was exhibited at the 1951 Crystal Palace World Expo. Weighing 350 carats, it is known for its uneven appearance that has not been polished. Because of the extremely high hardness, it is impossible to polish it.
