Maintenance of wool

The raw materials selected by the home textile industry are returning to nature more and more, people's goodwill and demand for green products are getting bigger and bigger. Not only traditional fibers such as cotton, hemp, silk, wool and down are popular, but also bamboo fiber, soybean fiber and milk. Home textile products made from new materials such as fibers. Let's take a look at the little knowledge of wool being used.

Wool is a natural animal fiber with no hollow tube inside. The length is generally 60mm-120mm and the longest is more than 200mm. The quality of the wool depends on the time and place of production. Generally cut for spring and autumn. Among them, the quality of wool cut in spring is the best. Its hair length, fine quality, high fat, good quality and strong hygroscopicity. Compared with the origin, the best quality is Australian wool. The climate there provides the most appropriate environment and abundant food for the growth of sheep. At the same time, the clean environment facilitates the finishing and cleaning work after the wool is cut, and the wool damage in the process can be minimized.

Main features of wool quilt:

1. Good moisture absorption. Wool is a highly hygroscopic fibrous material. At standard atmospheric pressure, fine wool has a moisture regain of 15-17%. Fine wool has a maximum moisture absorption of more than 40% of its own weight. It also automatically disperses moisture into the air. Make sure the humidity balance during sleep.

2. The warmth rate is high. The wool is light in density and close to the silk. Lighter than cotton and linen. Its thermal conductivity is the same as that of silk fibers. It is smaller than other fibers, so it has good warmth retention.

3. High curling. Generally, the wool fiber is ultra-fine, has high curl and good elasticity, and the wool can be restored to more than 90% of the original thickness after being pressed.

Maintenance of wool:

Usually wool is not washable and can only be dry cleaned, which also causes harmful substances such as bacteria attached to the top to be completely removed. When using it for the first time, take it out of the package and let it dry for 2-3 hours in the sheltered area. Gently shake and restore fluff.

You must put on the quilt cover when using it. Dry it once every 1-2 weeks in the sheltered area. Wool is not exposed to the sun and can only be dried in a ventilated place. For long-term storage, it should be dried for 4-5 hours in the sheltered area, and then folded and stored after the quilt is cool. 2-3 pesticides can be placed in the quilt (the insecticide can not be directly contacted with the product), and sealed in a plastic bag, placed in a cool and dry place, do not press.
