Luo Zhixiang Ashin Hong Kong Kaichao Store Xu Wei Leo

In recent years, an increasing number of artists have been making their mark in the fashion industry, with many celebrities stepping into the retail space. Hong Kong media has reported that popular figures such as Luo Zhixiang (also known as Pig), a Taiwanese male artist, and Ashin from the band Mayday have entered the fashion scene. They've joined other well-known names like Ge Minhui, Xu Hao, and Leo Ku, who have also made waves by opening shops in Hong Kong. Beyond music and performances, many artists are now creating their own clothing lines, selling unique pieces, and wearing branded items at events to engage with fans. This trend is not just about fashion—it's a way for artists to express themselves and connect with their audience on a more personal level. Several notable shops have opened in prime locations across Hong Kong. For example, Luo Zhixiang’s “STAGE” and Ashin’s “STAYREAL” both have branches in the city. “STAGE,” located in Causeway Bay, offers a wide range of products, including jeans priced around HKD 1,130 and quirky items like a grotesque pillow at HKD 230. Meanwhile, “STAYREAL” officially launched in Hong Kong in February and is situated in the Newport Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui. Their products range from RMB 200 to RMB 1,000, and Ashin often visits the store without much fanfare, drawing crowds eager to catch a glimpse of him or take photos with the iconic mouse mascot outside the door. Leo Ku, another prominent figure, has also ventured into the fashion world. His shop is just a few buildings away from Luo Zhixiang’s, and the two seem to have a friendly rivalry. The store carries a mix of casual wear and creative designs, with prices ranging from a few hundred to over a thousand yuan. Rumors say his girlfriend, Lorraine, occasionally stops by to check out the collection. Xu Hao, known for his high-end taste, has taken a different approach. He focuses on premium tide tees and bags, while others like Gemin Hui and Zhang Zhenyue have their own brands, WNP and 4A, which are based in Kwun Tong. These stores are more laid-back, with a close-knit community feel. Additionally, Xu Hao and Ho Chao-yun, a popular influencer, have opened shops in Causeway Bay and Central respectively. Both follow a high-priced strategy. Xu Hao imports trendy items from abroad, emphasizing a feminine aesthetic, while Ho Chao-yun sells pre-owned designer shirts at more accessible prices, appealing to a mature audience looking for quality and value.
