Preparatory national textile fabric museum is expected landing lions

Since the opening of the 15th China International Exhibition on Textile Fabrics and Accessories (Autumn & Winter), the Shishi Pavilion has drawn significant attention from industry professionals. As one of the largest and most influential pavilions at the event, it showcased the strength and potential of Shishi's textile and apparel sector. During the exhibition, leaders from the China Textile Industry Association met with officials from the Shishi municipal government, as well as key figures in the textile industry, to discuss future plans and the importance of industrial cluster collaboration. Sun Ruizhe, Vice Chairman of the China National Textile and Apparel Council, emphasized that Shishi has played a vital role in driving the development of the national textile industry. He also expressed hope that the upcoming National Fabric Museum would be established in Shishi, highlighting its significance in promoting textile culture and innovation. Attendees included Qi Yanjin, Deputy Director of the China Textile Information Center; Huang Nankang, Deputy Mayor of Shishi Municipal Committee; Fu Binwei, Director of the Testing Center of the China Textile Industry Association; Li Binhong, Director of the National Textile Product Development Center; Liu Dewang, Vice Mayor of Shishi Municipal Government; and representatives from the casual pants industry and other trade unions. At the meeting, Sun Ruizhe noted that through the participation of the Shishi delegation and today’s discussions, the association not only witnessed the promising development of Shishi’s textile and apparel industry but also saw broader opportunities for the growth of China’s textile clusters. In the coming period, the China Textile Industry Association and its technical departments will work closely with Shishi’s textile and garment industry to enhance their influence and professional capabilities. More support and resources will be allocated to help the industry grow sustainably. Huang Nankang, Deputy Mayor of Shishi, highlighted the increasing integration of economic development and technological innovation. He stressed that having market influence and shaping fashion trends have become more critical than ever. As a key pillar industry, textiles and garments are crucial to Shishi’s economy. Only by continuously improving and advancing can the city maintain its competitive edge. He expressed strong support for the proposed "National Fabric Museum" being established in Shishi and hoped that some pilot projects of the China Textile Industry Association would also be implemented there first. The Shishi municipal government is committed to providing strong backing, and the industry will fully cooperate to make these initiatives successful. The two sides also had in-depth discussions on the formulation and implementation of industry testing standards, as well as the further promotion of social responsibility management systems. They reached consensus on several important issues and agreed to continue working together to promote sustainable and high-quality development in the textile sector.
